Where should I ride

You have got a bike to ride, you have planned how you are going to go out on it, but you are not sure where to cycle.

The first thing that you need is to find somewhere that is not too busy .

If you live in a town or city, there are probably too many cars, buses and lorries around - you will be frightened of them running you over!

This happens in England where I live, but in some countries, cyclists have very good facilities and can ride safely anywhere. This is very true in the Netherlands for example.

It might be an idea to take your bike away from where you live if there is not somewhere good to ride. Depending on where you live, you might need to travel by train, bus or car.

If you do not think you have found a safe place to bike - do not ride there . Try to find somewhere else.

The ideal place to start riding is a route that is only for cyclists. Sometimes you may need to share with walkers or horse riders.

Try to find someone who already rides a bike if you need help in finding where to ride.

Why not have some company when you ride.
